fun facts
- Pronunciation guide: Lah-kah-tōsh Vee-o-leh-ta
- The key worn around her neck is a symbol of the Lakatos clan.
- She's weak to sunlight as all vampires are. her skin is highly sensitive to ultraviolet radiation and will rapidly burn and flake off when exposed to direct sunlight or uv lamps. unrelated from the vampirism, she also has photosensitivity and has trouble dealing with bright lights, even artificial ones.
- As a vampire, she gains most of her nutrition from blood. Human blood of a compatible blood type is best (she's type O so only other type O blood in her case), but any kind of blood can work to a degree. she can eat other food and drink without adverse effects, but it offers comparatively little for her besides sensory input. With modern innovations, the potential methods of blood collection and intake have expanded a lot, so vampires very rarely actually hunt for human prey and drink from the source nowadays.
- Her wings are pretty much vestigial. She has minor muscle control over them, but they're incapable of granting flight. The best she can manage is hovering in place for a bit if she expends the effort. half of the time they're hidden away underneath clothes anyways.
- Her eyes have a mesmeric effect on humans with prolonged eye contact, which is at best pretty awkward and at worst completely taboo, so she wears sunglasses with heavily tinted lenses and generally averts eye contact so as to not unintentionally hypnotize people. The sunglasses also help with the aforementioned photosensitivity, and look stylish to boot, so its a slam dunk for her.
- No, she does not compulsively count up hundreds grains of rice until dawn. She does love math and tallying up spreadsheets though, so maybe there is some truth to that ridiculous old 'vampire weakness'.
