Thunderbeak
~ Kenku Crook Thunderously Shaken into Faith ~

story

• Born and raised in a seaside port town. They grew up like most kenku do, a petty thief and pickpocket who preyed on travellers who passed through.
• They continued with this life up until about 3 years before present day, when a bad storm rolled into town and Thunderbeak had a near-death experience with a lightning strike soon after pulling off one of the biggest heists they’d accomplished.
• They took this as a sign of divine intervention and gave up their life of crime, deciding to carry out the will of the Thunder Lord Leigong in order to redeem themself, and maybe hopefully in return Leigong will grant them succor.

personality

• Very sneaky, light-footed. Trying to be a better person but still regresses into theft and criminal acts.
• Has a tendency to be a follower rather than a leader.
• Very protective of their possessions, knowing that if they lost them it would be tough for them to get any honest money.
• A fan of darkness and rainstorms, although they don’t have darkvision. Is simultaneously amazed and terrified by thunder and lightning.

• As a Kenku, they can only speak through mimicry of things they have heard. Others refer to them as Thunderbeak, but their name as they speak it is an echo of the rain and thunderstrike of the night they were nearly struck down.
