story

• A scholar who studied the biology, strengths, and weakness of demons to find ways to combat them.
• In furthering his study, he constructed mechanical simulacrums of demons to be used for safer practice in defeating them. Compared to summoning and binding real demons, his mechanical demons were far less risky.
• After much iterating and improving, he decides to put his mechanical demons to the biggest test: using them as counter-demonic weapons in the war against the Legion. He joined the frontlines, commanding his small army of servants to help take down the real things.
• Later undertook the mechagnome process in Mechagon in order to enhance his connection to and command over his mechanical demon servants.

personality

• Got driven just a little bit insane throughout the course of his research. Obsessed with the chaotic 'beauty' of demonic forms that makes them so difficult to replicate.
• Is constantly tinkering and iterating on his designs, adding new features and tuning up old ones. Since becoming a mechagnome, this also extends to tinkering with his own mechanical bits. Occasionally gets in over his head and needs to call for help to re-assemble himself.
• Incredibly eccentric, seems to have a random factoid for any occasion.

• Once asked a demon hunter if he could dissect and study them to further his research on demonic energy. This did not end well for Hugio.
