Drokh
~ Scara-Kreen Brawler Itching for a Fight ~

story

• The Kreen are a simple race, living a nomadic lifestyle in the arid deserts, living to survive and breed. They are naturally disposed to hunting and travelling together in small groups. Drokh lived most of his early life in hunting groups of that type. Unfortunately for Drokh, he was often kicked out from groups he joined, usually due to his over-competitive nature leading him to pick fights he couldn't win with higher-ups. After going through multiple groups and failing to prove his strength repeatedly, Drokh decided to leave his desert home and venture to the world outside in order to grow stronger, with his goal to one day return to the desert he lived in and prove his worth to his former tribe members.

personality

• Drokh is incredibly competitive. He loves challenges, and is often quick to jump to battle instead of diplomacy. He hates it when his opponents underestimate him or don't take it seriously, seeing it as an insult to his honour. He even more dislikes when opponents forfeit rather than giving their all in a fight, feeling like the fight was a wasted opportunity and that he didn't grow stronger from it.
• Dislikes magic spells and the like, sees magic as a cheap tactic by weaklings to appear strong, as compared to true strength through physical fitness and fighting techniques.
• His protective fighting style comes almost inadvertently. When he sees an opponent attacking a teammate rather than him, he takes it as an insult that they refuse his challenge, and will do whatever it takes to force them back into combat with him.
• Is very overconfident and aggressive, rushes into action rather than waiting or planning, is very bad in social situations, bad at taking orders.

• Most Kreen live short lifespans of about 25 years. Drokhs old age can be attributed mainly to the fact that he eats nutrient-rich fruits which he discovered on his travels, compared to most Kreen that live in deserts/savannas and hunt prey for food.
• He can speak both Common and Dwarven, but prefers Dwarven as its easier for him to make the right sounds (I imagine Dwarven has a lot of harsh consonants and is a bit more guttural, im not sure how canonical that is)
• Gets very weak at high altitudes due to low oxygen concentrations
• He has a good assortment of scars over various parts of his body from his lifetime of fighting. When he travelled with a healer he didn't object to being patched up, but he often adventured alone and chose to let his body handle the wounds naturally.
  • His wings are very beaten up, since insect wings dont regenerate. At this point their condition no longer allows him to fly or hover with them, they only serve to intimidate.
  • He has a scar on his chest towards his left, where a heart would be on a human. Luckily, beetles don't have hearts so the attack wasnt fatal, much to the dismay of the person who hit him there.
  • Has loads of small cuts on his arms, more on the top set than the bottom.
  • His horn is surprisingly pristine in comparison, being a source of pride for Drokh.
