early life
- Born to Percevain and Marionne Lundevidenoir in Gévaudan, a neighborhood in the southern end of Gelmorra. Dianne's family had a quiet life until she was about 5, at which time a tremor collapsed a section of the tunnels nearby their home. Deeming the crumbling subterranean city too much of a risk for their growing child, the Lundevidenoirs moved to Gridania on the surface.
- In Gridania, the Duskwight family faced heavy discrimination and prejudice, with her father struggling to find a workplace that would offer him a steady position. Though they hated the idea of having to up and move a second time so soon, it was necessary both for their finances and their happiness. Packing up their belongings, they took a ferry to Limsa Lominsa to start anew.
- The family was finally able to settle down, Percevain got a well-paying job working on a ship's crew, while Marionne stayed at home, occasionally selling her weaving to bring in extra income. Dianne usually stayed with her mother, but occasionally her father would bring her along on his work.
adventuring career
- Once Dianne was of-age, she started looking for work, and ended up doing a lot of odd jobs for folks in the neighborhood. She learned about the leve system for making and taking requests for help, and signed up to fulfill leves as an official adventurer of Limsa Lominsa. Though she tended to avoid the jobs that required fighting, her parents were worried for her safety, so Percevain and his crewmates taught her how to use knives for self-defence.
- Took her first steps outside of Vylbrand (at least since they moved there) on a delivery job to the Phrontistery in Ul'Dah. The journey into the unknown stoked her wanderlust, starting a lifelong yearning to see new places and do new things.
- Once that can was opened it didn't close for a while, Dianne going on a long tour of Eorzea for a few years, seeing sights and helping people along the way where she was able. It wasn't until recently that she settled back down again in La Noscea, though she still loves exploring when able.
recent developments
- Through a combination of personal and external motivators, Dianne began studying thaumaturgy and spellcraft. Throughout her training regimen, Dianne has incredible difficulty with channeling the destructive Astral Fire that thaumaturges are known for, despite excelling in the field of Umbral Ice.

- After several fun weeks spending time with her close friend Kjellska Olgasch, Dianne tearfully sees Kjellska off as she goes on an extended trip to her homeland of Bozja. She's hit hard by the realization that her friend will no longer be around for the forseeable future, and is doing her best to cope.
- With the use of Astral Fire being dangerous with her aether, Dianne quits her studies of Ul'Dahn thaumaturgy. She finds new teachers in colleagues Lolonji Lon and Hermes Fargo, though neither partnership lasted long.
- Dianne gets a job cutting and polishing gems for sale at the Farmer's Attic, and finds it surprisingly fulfilling. After a sudden windfall at Starlight giving her unexpected financial security, she makes a Heavensturn resolution to semi-retire from adventuring and look into other career options.
- An influx of Duskwight appearing in her social spaces leads Dianne to get tied up in their business, returning to her hometown of Gévaudan for the first time in two decades. She's not quite sure how to feel about it, but is intrigued learning firsthand about the culture she never got to experience growing up.
